On October 1, 2026, STS USA LLC was formed in the State of Alabama. The new company is the US arm of STS Oberholz GmbH & Co. KG from Velbert near Düsseldorf, Germany – a family business that has supplied locking systems to the motorhome and caravan industry for 30 years – and, like STS Oberholz, is part of Glatz-Gruppe, an owner-managed family holding company.
STS USA bundles the group's activities for the North American RV market. Its job is simple: shorter distances to the manufacturers, contacts who understand both the product and the market, and reliable supply of series parts and spare parts.
Why North America – and why now
The North American RV industry builds a large share of the world's recreational vehicles. Many OEMs are looking for locking solutions that combine durability, a clean flush look and integration into vehicle electronics. That is exactly where STS has invested in recent years – with the patented CubeLine platform and the electromechanical, M1-certified Kubus XLe.
